Vacancies - Lay Clerks

St Alphege is always interested to hear from students studying locally who wish to sing with our choirs. We are able to pay on a 'per service' basis.  Successful applicants will be required to attend a Friday evening rehearsal and two cathedral style services on a Sunday: singing with the traditional choir of Boys and Men and also our Girls' Choir.  Travel from Birmingham is simple: trains from Birmingham Moor Street to Solihull are regular and the journey takes just eight minutes; the church is in the centre of town, within walking distance of the station.  There are opportunities to sing at major cathedrals throughout the UK.   A successful concert and recital series also runs that lay clerks would be encouraged to take part in.  Teaching work could be available to enhance the remuneration of the position. Applicants should be between the ages of 18 and 25.

We are extremely grateful to The Ouseley Church Music Trust for their grant support towards funding one of these positions.
