Christmas 2017 - Events

Saturday 2nd November, 7.30pm - Rachmaninov Vespers
Join us for the beginning of the church year. The Act of Vespers is the first act of worship of each day taking place after sunset on the previous day, so here is our offering for the night before the first Sunday of Advent. The Music is set by Rachmaninov written in 1915 and uses the Eastern Orthodox tradition to inspire the soundworld.  Rich, thick textures characterise this work making it beautiful and strong at the same time.
The concert will take place at St Augustine's Church, Solihull, and features members of St Alphege Church Choirs and visiting singers.
Tickets are available online or on the door.
